During the IIBF 2016, there will be arrays of interesting and educational supporting events to attract more visitors to the fair. The events are listed below.

1. The IKAPI Award

In this annual event, Ikapi bestows the ”Ikapi Award” to a selected best-selling author and a person/body who has made a huge contribution to literary development.

2. Get Inspiration (Sharing Knowledge) from the Experts

A talk show where inspirational distinguished persons share their experience and wisdom.

3. Literacy Fun Field Trip

The IIBF invites kindergarten and elementary students to visit the fair. The organizer manages their visit in groups and provides guidance along their “trip” through the booths. The advantage for participants of the fair is that more visitors will come to see their booths. The activity is blended with other supporting events: story telling, art/cultural activities, literature introductions, quizes, and special visits to certain booths.

4. Traditional Dance Festival of Kindergarten and Elementary Students

This colorful and amusing event is designed for dance groups made up of kindergarten and elementary students. It is an annual event with, on average, 1,000 participants.

5. Seminars and Workshops for Professionals in Publishing

During the fair, there will be several publishing-related seminars and workshops designed to increase the skills and knowledge of professionals in the publishing industry.

6. Book Launches and Meet the Authors

Participants can promote their books through launches on the stages of the IIBF 2016 or in a special room, where visitors can also meet the author or editor.
